Romans and James

Congratulations to the AMAZING Chicago Central Quizzers.  Our A team took first for the first time since 2003. Our B team took a strong 2nd, winning us some serious trophy points.  Nathan Tabor also competed in a comprehensive exam about the material, and took 2nd! (one entry per district).

As we look forward, we have several exciting new things to announce.  I have updated the schedule (dates only at this point) and have added a new tab which gives you information about all of our regional tournaments as well.

One thing you will notice--Q2014 is not yet listed on our schedule.  It is expected to be over 4th of July week, but exact dates are not yet available.  I encourage everyone to start fundraising now, as this is always an incredible experience.  We will do our best to keep costs low, but for now, I would plan on $350 per participant.  This may change, but its better to figure high.  This cost does not currently include transportation.  We will talk more about this event as details become available.

Materials are not yet available for Romans and James, in part due to use of NIV11.  It appears that there are a few things being worked out on the publishing house side that has prevented the release of completed materials. I will let you know when these materials become available (hopefully sooner rather than later).  The memory verse list displaying on the youthquiz.com site is NOT accurate, so please do not use it-I will get a memory verse list out as soon as one is released to me.

Please start looking at churches in your area that don't have teams, and start encouraging them to get started!!  Scott and I are both willing to travel to meet and help new (and old) coaches get ready for the upcoming year.

I quizzed for several years, but this is my first year as a coach! I'm really looking forward to it, and could use all the help and advice I can get!
